Bio: Dr Linda Duffy

Linda Duffy is a Professor of Sports & Exercise Psychology at Middlesex University. She is a founding member of the Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). In 2014 she became Chair of the Sport & Exercise Psychology Research Group at Middlesex.

She is currently engaged in Sport & Exercise psychology research and research into sport & exercise as a medium for rehabilitation and the psychological effects of training and practice.

Linda was a professional darts player and Former Ladies World Darts Champion and World number 1 from 1982 – 1987. She is currently developing an MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology programme and an online Darts Coaching course with colleagues at the London Sport Institute. She regularly features in TV and radio media coverage of darts, women in sport and exercise psychology such as BskyB, Radio 5 live, BBC Essex Radio and Talk Sport Radio.

Her expertise in the conduct of clinical trials and her deep understanding of the psychological impact of exercise and sport is invaluable to Earn Your Health. Linda is a firm believer in our power and mission to provide motivation for a healthier lifestyle.
